Dr Michael Tame is a dental surgeon with an approachable nature and always takes the time to explain all aspects of treatment and procedures with patience and detail. ‘Dr Mike’ will always follow up on his patients after their surgery to ensure they have a smooth recovery.
Dr Mike is originally from Cardiff, the capital of ‘Old’ South Wales in the UK. He completed his dental degree at Bristol University in 2000 and following a few years practicing as a general dentist, commenced his surgical career in 2003 in the Oral and Maxillofacial unit of the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport.
Dr Tame then spent seven years training and working with Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons in the NHS prior to emigrating to Australia in 2009 for a sunnier coastal lifestyle. He has also held academic teaching positions with the University of Queensland and the University of Sydney, in addition to an Oral Surgery position with Queensland Health. Dr Tame has held a senior Oral Surgery appointment since 2013 with NSW Health at the Sydney Dental Hospital, which also involves the provision of Oral Surgery services at major Sydney metropolitan hospitals including Concord, Canterbury and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals.
In the course of his postgraduate training Dr Tame has achieved the Memberships of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCS) and Glasgow (MFDS RCPS), the Diploma of Surgical Dentistry from Sydney University and the Fellowship in Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FFD(OSOM)RCSI). He is committed to continuing education and keeps up to date with all the latest developments in dental and surgical fields.
Dr Tame has worked in private practice in the Sydney metropolitan, NSW rural and Illawarra area for a number of years, starting ECOS in 2017 as well as joining the Shellharbour Dental Specialist team. Dr Tame has regular operating lists at Chatswood Private Hospital, Pittwater Day Surgery and Wollongong Day Surgery.
Mike lives in both the Northern Beaches and the South Coast with his young family. Outside of work you’ll almost always find him near or in the ocean, usually on his surfboard!

Dr Joseph was originally from Canberra where he started as a general dentist. After several years of working alongside his father and brothers in private practice, he returned to university to specialise in Oral Medicine and also completed a Masters Degree in Pain Medicine. As an oral medicine specialist he diagnoses and manages a wide range of oral mucosal abnormalities, such as ulcers, growths, cancers, infections and allergies. He also treats disorders related to the salivary glands, temporomandibular (jaw) disorders, taste and smell disorders, oral manifestations of systemic and infectious diseases, and obstructive sleep apnoea.
When not in clinic, he teaches at Charles Sturt University as a Senior Lecturer in Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology at Charles Sturt University and at Melbourne University as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology.
Outside of being an Oral Medicine Specialist, he enjoys spending time with his family as well as staying active! He thoroughly enjoys surfing, running and snow sports.
Dr Michael graduated from The University of Sydney in 1993, obtaining a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Dr Chen has worked in a variety of dental settings including public health, health fund centres and private practices. He currently holds a Dental Officer staff position in the specialist Oral Surgery Department of the Sydney Dental Hospital, where he performs and teaches Oral Surgery to the next generation of surgeons.
Dr Chen has limited his practice to Oral Surgery and has over twenty years’ experience in this field. His services include wisdom teeth removal, difficult extractions and minor soft tissue oral surgery under local and general anaesthetic. Dr Michael is very compassionate and a highly skilled operator.
Outside the clinic, Michael enjoys dedicating his free time to his family: his wife and three kids. He has a love of surfing, fishing and anything that gets him outdoors.
Dr Robert Weld-Moore is a dedicated dental surgeon who was previously appointed as a Staff Grade Oral Surgeon in the world-renowned Oral and Maxillofacial department of Queen Victoria Hospital in West Sussex, England.
Dr Robert completed his dental degree from Trinity College Dublin in 2003. He subsequently commenced his training in Oral Surgery at the Dublin Dental Hospital as a Senior House Officer. During this time he was awarded the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MFDS) before moving to the UK to pursue further training in the speciality at King’s College Hospital, London. He went on to achieve an appointment as a Staff Grade Oral Surgeon in the world-renowned Oral and Maxillofacial department of Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.
Following this appointment, Dr Robert moved to Australia for a sunnier lifestyle and worked in Sydney for three years. In 2015, he returned to Ireland to commence specialist training in Oral Surgery and in 2018 he completed his Clinical Doctorate in Oral Surgery (D.Ch.Dent) from Trinity College Dublin. During this academic program he completed a thesis on the effect of osteoporosis on the bones of the face. He has written articles for a number of peer-reviewed journals including the British Dental Journal.
Dr Weld-Moore is able to provide specialist Oral Surgery treatment under local or general anesthesia and has regular operating lists at Chatswood Private Hospital and Pittwater Day Surgery. Rob likes to treat patients with compassion and respect, and particularly enjoys treating nervous patients. Rob enjoys the lifestyle that New South Wales has to offer and is a keen surfer. Being from Ireland he likes to take advantage of spending time in the sunshine at weekends with his family.
Dr. Kritesh is a specialist prosthodontist whose particularly warm and gentle approach makes him the ideal specialist for patients looking to complete smile transformations. His keen eye for detail and patient focused treatment planning has helped many achieve their smile goals.
Dr Kritesh graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2013 and worked as a general dentist in the public sector. He joined the Fiji School of Medicine a year later as a lecturer whilst also pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching, which he completed in 2017 whilst also working in private practice.
In 2021, Dr. Bhai completed his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry at the University of Melbourne, specialising in Prosthodontics. He has a special interest in aesthetic dentistry, as well as implants and removable prostheses. He enjoys working with patients of all ages and especially geriatric patients looking to regain confidence in their smile once more.
Outside the Clinic, Kritesh enjoys playing soccer and squash and cooking. His dream is to have his own line of craft beer but is currently stuck in the experimental stage!

Dr Alex completed his studies in Dentistry at the University of Sydney, graduating with Honours in 2007. After this, he worked as a general dentist treating medically complex patients at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Camperdown. Still excited to pursue orthodontics, he accepted a three year orthodontic training position at the University of Hong Kong, and became a specialist in 2012. During this time he also completed a Membership in Orthodontics at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, UK.
Since then he has had the privilege of working as an orthodontist in Singapore, Sydney and also regional NSW: in Tamworth and Shellharbour. This has exposed him to a wide range of patients with vastly different and unique orthodontic situations.
Being an orthodontist involves countless clinical hours creating smiles but it is equally important to keep up to date with the latest technology and research for my own professional development and for his patients. Dr Alex regularly attends local and international conferences to ensure that his knowledge is current and that he continues to provide state of the art treatment. When not in the clinic he enjoys spending time with his family, and when he gets a chance to: snowboarding, scuba diving and playing a bit of golf!

He initially completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Sydney, graduating with honours. He then spent five years practicing general dentistry both in the public and private sector. Dr Albert’s interest in orthodontics developed while undertaking continuing dental education courses. Following this passion, he completed a three year postgraduate orthodontic program at The University of Adelaide. He also successfully completed the examinations for the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons and the Edinburgh Membership in Orthodontics.
After he specialising, he and his wife moved to Melbourne (her hometown) to work as an orthodontist as well as raise their young family. In recent years, Dr Albert has relocated to the South Coast which he now calls home. Dr Albert is passionate in providing orthodontic treatment not just in the form of braces, but also early intervention and InvisalignⓇ. Over the last 14 years, he has treated thousands patients, helping them achieve their smile goals.
